Graphic Sciences is a leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly inks and coatings for the flexographic printing community. Since 1987, we’ve served the needs of customers by consistently providing high quality, state-of-the-art products with unmatched technical support.
In addition to producing several highly successful lines of inks and coatings for use on paper and corrugated board, Graphic Sciences is a major supplier of water based inks used in the polyethylene grocery bag market. Our successes in these markets have lead to further product development, resulting in our entry into the water gravure and narrow web industries as well. Looking to the future, we saw a growing demand for ultraviolet inks and coatings. Our UV product line is among our most recent offerings to the printing community.
Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Graphic Sciences operates two primary manufacturing plants, located in Portland, Oregon and Shreveport, Louisiana. These facilities convert raw materials, such as pigments and resins, into blending bases as well as finished inks designed to meet customer specifications.
We also serve customers on a regional basis through 16 blending centers, which are located throughout the continental United States, Mexico and Western Canada. These strategically placed blending facilities use dispersions prepared by our primary manufacturing plants to blend inks on demand for the individual needs of each customer. From these facilities, we service customers throughout Central and North America with a superior level of product quality, service and technical support. Our customers include more than 400 printers and converters, several of which are major multi-national companies with well-recognized names.
In 2001, Graphic Sciences introduced Graphic Digital as its new inkjet division. This division, located in Milwaukie, Oregon, manufactures bulk inks for desktop, wide format and grand format digital printers. Applications include outdoor signage, posters, dye sublimation and desktop publishing. Keeping in line with Graphic Sciences’ products, Graphic Digital inkjet inks offer high-end performance while maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Graphic Sciences has enjoyed steady growth since its inception in 1987. Annual sales are currently at a pace approaching forty million dollars.
