FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How many times can I refill my cartidge?
The number of times an inkjet cartridge can be refilled
depends on the condition of the cartridge and the printheads.
The better the condition the printheads are kept in, the
longer the cartridge will last, and the more times the cartridge
can be refilled.
3. When should I refill my cartridge?
The best time to refill the inkjet cartridge is before
it completely runs out of ink, or immediately after it
runs out. Refilling at this time prevents the inkjet ink
from drying out inside and clogging the printheads.
4. What is your company's return policy?
We stand behind our product, as we believe they are the
best quality inkjet inks available. If you are not fully
satisfied with our products please follow the simple instructions
at the bottom of this list.
5. Will refilling my inkjet cartridge void the OEM's
warranty on my printer?
No. Refilling your inkjet cartridge does not tamper with
your printer in any way, and therefore does not effect
your warranty. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement
Act, the consumer is allowed the right to choose any consumable
they desire for their printer, and allowed to make any
repairs to the printer cartridge they deem necessary.
This allows for the use of refill kits and compatible
cartridges.
7. What is the proper way to handle my
inkjet cartridge?
Always handle your inkjet cartridge with care. Never touch
the metal printhead with your hands. Try to keep ink in
the cartridge at all times to prevent the print nozzles
from drying out. If you plan on storing the cartridge outside
of the printer, keep it in a plastic bag to prevent air
from drying the nozzles out.
8. How do I clean my printheads when they become clogged
with dry ink?
Place the clogged cartridge inside a shallow dish of warm,
distilled water or isopropyl alcohol so that only the print
nozzles are submerged. Let the cartridge sit there for a
few minutes, allowing the dried ink to flow out of the print
nozzles. Remove the cartridge from the solution, and gently
rub the printhead off with a soft cloth or cotton tissue.
Repeat as needed.
9. Are all refill kits the same?
No. The formulas for the ink in each inkjet cartridge is
different, and therefore each cartridge requires a different
refill kit. Graphic Digital inks are specially formulated
to match the OEM's specifications such as drying time, density,
boiling point, surface tensions, and pH values. In addition,
Graphic Digital tests all ink under strict laboratory conditions
to ensure the highest output quality at all times.
10. What does refilling my cartridge do?
Refilling is a form of recycling your inkjet cartridge by
replenishing the ink supply and reusing the printhead. By
doing so you not only help the environment, but save yourself
some money in the process.
12. Why are the colors coming out mixed?
This is typically the result of over filling your inkjet
cartridge. To correct the problem print text or any images
that require a mixing of the colors to remove the mixed
color ink from the cartridge.
13. I am still having problems refilling my cartridge,
what should I do?
If you continue to encounter problems refilling your Inkjet
Cartridge, please contact our Graphic Digital at (503) 652-8518
14. What do I do when bubbles form while I'm refilling?
The bubbles do not affect the printing, but should be allowed
to dissolve prior to reinstalling the cartridge in the printer.
To correct the problem let the cartridge sit for a brief
period of time until the bubbles have completely dissolved.
